Sophie instructs a variety of classes at a local gym, WellFit, including TRX, Spinning, Tone and HIIT. As well as her one to one clients, some of whom she trains at home, outdoors and in the gym, she has semi private PT sessions with groups of 4-8 people.
She has a diverse range of experience in massage therapy having formed part of an intense team of therapists at the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) European Championships in the UK in 2015. She has treated amateur boxers and athletes working both from home and as a mobile therapist, and worked on a range of clients at a successful high end beauty salon in the UK. Presently, she is one of the sports massage therapists to the Irish Women's Rugby squad.
Sophie massages from her home in a quiet relaxing space, but also enjoys being part of the team of therapists at the Willow Rooms, in The Square, Skerries. This is a place for health and wellbeing where Sophie offers all types of massage; it's a peaceful and tranquil spot.
Assisting in coaching and games with Skerries Hockey Club 3rd team is also one of Sophie's passions, having served as a player and coach at local, county and regional level in the UK from school to the present day. She also plays hockey for Skerries women's 1st team.
Setting and achieving personal goals and challenges are important to Sophie. She competes in Sprint, Olympic and Iron Man 70.3 distance triathlons around the world and recently completed the full IronMan in Nice, France in July 2017. She also completed the Dublin Marathon 2017.
Sophie has established a successful women's running group in Skerries which caters for all levels and abilities. From 0-5km programmes to a steady running group thats social, fun and a great way to get motivated and enjoy the benefits of running.
Sophie is a member of Fitness Professionals Ltd (FitPro), the largest professional fitness development company in the world. She is fully insured in all areas of practice and teaching.
With Sophie's love of food she takes great pleasure in demonstrating the use of her Thermomix, the innovative kitchen all in one appliance which advocates fast, healthy eating and cooking from whole foods and raw ingredients. As an independent Thermomix advisor she shows how anybody can cook fast, fresh, healthy meals, drinks and snacks.
Sophie runs nutrition and weight management group workshops which give people the tools and confidence to make sustainable changes towards a healthier lifestyle through improved health and nutrition.
